Shorts Made of GOLD

Do you know what a feature film is? - it is
a watered down short.
And who has time for features anyway? they are long and expensive -
for $12 you get trapped in a cold movie theater with one, only ONE!!
story.

So, get ready for really hot shorts!
They are short, intense and leave you wanting more,
just like a great love affair.
And, as a rule, there are many of them stringed together...
Be Film The Underground Film Festival starting on April 28th
has the best collection of short films that I know of.
No wonder, it is an underground festival - it's a true treasure chest
under the ground that you, yes, YOU have to discover and enrich your
soul with the shorts made of gold.

The festival program is attached here,
but if you can't open it,
you can check the screening and events schedule it at:
www.BeFilm.net

Please, note that Be Film The Underground Film festival has a unique category of films - viral/spec films. They are shorter than shorts. Those with short attention span and commitment issues are going to be delighted!

My "Teat Beat of Sex: Episodes 8,9,10,11" is screening on
May 2nd at 8 pm at Dolby Screening Room, 1350 Avenue of Americas along with the amazing "Letter to Colleen" by Andy and Carolyn Londons
and very short and funny "Superdong" by Pok Yue Weng

NYFA Immigrant Film Festival, April 17th

Have you heard that New York has a whole week
dedicated to Immigrant Heritage?
When you think about it, we all come from somewhere...
Even animators! and especially you and me!

New York Foundation for the Arts has kindly put
together a program of films made by immigrant
animators. Some of them you know really well, but
some will take you by surprise.

All 6 of us are going to be present to talk about our
experiences in preserving our artistic integrity in a
strange culture, fighting the strange but eventually
assimilating the new views. Well, assimilating, but
not completely. A first generation immigrant's
brain works in a funny, almost schizophrenic ways.
It is fascinating to hear immigrant artists' stories
and see their work in that context. Come and see
the films in the light of those wild stories!

The event is on April 17th, 6:30-8:30 pm
At the New York Foundation for the Arts
155 Avenue of Americas
6th floor

The event is free but you do have to RSVP by April 7th,
please RSV to Andreia Davies at
